In 2009 IP Australia embarked on a multi year journey to modernise their IP Rights management solution, named Integrated Customer Service Delivery (ICSD). This was the agency’s most wide reaching change to its service offering and required the modernisation and improvement of processes at multiple levels for ICSD to be a success.

Agile Digital was engaged to provide software delivery, agile methodology consultancy as well as discrete software engineering services. Through targeted process improvement using Lean Agile practices, integrating with Atlassian JIRA project management software Agile Digital enabled IP Australia to support traceability initiatives and improve software quality while providing greater predictability in delivery timeframes.

The improved processes were implemented throughout the agency where they remain in use today, integral to the success of IP Australia’s next major program of work Rights in One (RIO).
